The Elsworth Times is a local newsletter for the Cambridgeshire village of Elsworth, a community I am proud to be a part of for over 16 years. I took over the newsletter from Pendrill publications when Pete and Janet Dobson decided they had done this long enough, stepping back to enjoy the latter years of retirement allowing Pete to focus more on his passion and hobby of Wildlife photography and spend time with the family.

The newsletter is published every 2 months to just shy of 400 households throughout the village. There are also some copies left at Franks Farm, the local shop and sports club...and somehow, some copies also end up in neighbouring villages Papworth Everard, Conington, Fenstanton, Knapwell and even Cambourne!

The newsletter is a community contributed publication supported by the local parish council and by advertising.

Your News, Articles & Photographs

We welcome village news, articles, event reports and photographs for inclusion in Elsworth Times.

To help us prepare your contribution for publication, please follow these simple guidelines.

Articles & Word Counts

Please submit articles as Microsoft Word documents (.docx) or as text within your email.

As a guide to how much space your article may occupy:

Word Count Approximate Length

  • Both portrait and landscape photographs are welcome.

  • Avoid screenshots, social media downloads and low-resolution images.

  • Include a short caption and photographer credit where appropriate.

  • Ensure you have permission to submit images, particularly photographs featuring children.

Submitting Your Content

Please include your name, article title and any relevant event details. Send everything before the published content deadline.

Articles may be edited for clarity or available space, and photographs may be cropped or adjusted for print. Publication cannot be guaranteed.
